Through a continually growing library of uploaded transcripts and synchronized video depositions, the platform brings together materials that were once scattered across firms, carriers and regions. Attorneys can search past statements from expert witnesses, study how those witnesses have testified in similar situations and uncover patterns that strengthen their strategy in the courtroom.

The Second Chair™ team is well aware of the complex and costly nature of the litigation management process. Our team has spent the majority of their professional lives in the worlds of financial services, insurance, claims management, legal bill auditing and technology development.
Dennis Costello
President & CEO, Founder — Second Chair™
Dennis Costello brings more than 35 years of P&C claims leadership to Second Chair™, shaping the platform with deep insight into how the defense bar can work smarter and stronger. Before founding Second Chair™, Dennis served as CEO of Legalgard Information Solutions, one of the industry’s first legal bill auditing companies to develop software specifically for insurance claims litigation examiners. The audit software was built to work with defense firms, and not impair their decisions. Prior to Legalgard he was Senior Vice President and Chief Claim Officer at Reliance Insurance Company. Before Reliance he was with Chubb & Son as Vice President of Claim Administration and Finance. A graduate of Oakland University and a Certified Claims Law Associate (CCLA), Dennis has dedicated his career to improving claim outcomes, increasing transparency and building tools that support better defense strategies nationwide.
Keith Bogart
Chief Technology Officer — Second Chair™
Keith Bogart brings more than 25 years of experience in computer technology and 12 years in law to his role as Chief Technology Officer for Second Chair™. He oversees every aspect of the platform’s design, programming and system architecture, ensuring the technology behind Second Chair™ is fast, reliable and built for the complex needs of the defense bar. Keith has designed and implemented enterprise software systems for organizations including the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court, Chase Manhattan Bank, GTE, NEC and Teltronics. He is fluent across a wide range of operating systems and programming languages, including Windows, UNIX/Linux, MSSQL, MySQL, Sybase, Informix, Oracle, C#, C/C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, Java, PHP and ASP.NET. Keith earned a BS in Statistics and Biometrics from Cornell University and a JD from Stetson College of Law, giving him a rare combination of technical and legal expertise that drives the innovation behind Second Chair.
